恒功率电热带每单位长度的热量输出是恒定的，因此电热带的输出功率不会随着外部环境、绝缘材料和伴热带材料的变化而变化，需要与温度控制器和控制箱一起使用。适用于石油、化工、电力、冶金等行业的长输管道和储罐的保温、防冷凝、伴热、防冻保温。恒功率电热带的安装非常重要。如果安装不当，跟踪带系统可能会损坏。因此，恒功率电热带的安装规范如下：
1、在特殊区域使用恒功率电热带进行保温时，应远离阀门开口或易燃易爆气体聚集区
2、恒功率电热带两端的加热线在安装过程中不得与导电芯线和金属屏蔽层发生碰撞。
3、恒功率电热带的并联连接是由于多个加热段在整个长度上并联连接。剪切时，加热段必须剪切，剪切长度必须超过3米。
4、恒功率电热带与自限温电热带不同，不能重叠使用。
5、不建议在塑料管道上使用恒功率电热带。
6、为防止电火花和火灾，所有电伴热线和电气连接必须密封防潮。
