一、安装前工作：
1、由于伴热管道中的自限伴热带和恒功率伴热带的特性，不当操作或许多人为因素可能会造成损坏。请检查设计图纸和项目的实际情况。
2、项目所在地的气象资料：年极端低温、环境湿度、风速等（沿海地区也应考虑盐雾的影响）
3、设计配电容量是否满足自限电伴热带和恒功率电伴热带的要求。自限跟踪带具有PTC特性和启动电流。由于配电容量开关太小，导线被加热、跳闸，无法投入运行。
二、电伴热带安装技术要求：
1、在储存、运输和安装过程中，电伴热带不得拖在地面上或浸入水和油中，以免损坏护套和绝缘层
2、电伴热带与电源线的连接：易燃易爆场所必须使用与伴热带相匹配的防爆接线盒。剥除跟踪芯线时，应特别小心，避免断开多股线芯的线股，使线芯截面变小，导致过载和燃烧。电线扭曲后应使用热缩套管或绝缘胶带密封。
3、注意电伴热带的尾端不得外露。它会长期暴露在阳光和雨水中，伴热管道中的绝缘层会严重吸水，从而导致伴热带老化、脆化和短路，造成事故，降低使用寿命。
