电伴热带是一种新型的管道防冻、屋面融雪、室内冬季取暖设施，是工作和生活中常见的一种加热电缆设备。储罐是储存液体或气体的密封容器，是石油、化工、粮油、食品、消防等行业必不可少的重要基础设施。但在冬季，温度较低，储罐内介质容易冻结，因此有必要对储罐采取防冻保温措施。
储罐的选择应基于其材料、罐壁厚度、罐容积、加热介质温度、环境温度等，以及当地特定的气候条件。例如，当储罐处于高温环境时，应考虑MI加热电缆，而对于较大储罐应使用串联恒功率电伴热胶带，对于有低温要求的小型储罐，建议使用自限温电伴热胶带。
